Three Common Concerns, Three Different Plans: How We Match Treatments to Your Face
Rather than asking which treatment is best, we start by asking what your face is actually missing. At GlowDerma, a doctor assesses your support, proportion and skin quality first, then combines collagen stimulation, skin tightening and skin remodelling — adjusting to the features you already have instead of applying a template.
Why we do not start with "the most popular treatment"
The same treatment can produce very different results on different faces. Facial ageing usually happens across three layers at once, and the order and degree of loss differ for everyone:
- Deep support loss — bone and deep fat pads thin out; contours descend
- Superficial laxity — skin and fascial layers lose elasticity; definition softens
- Surface quality — pores, pigmentation, acne scarring, fine lines
Treating only one layer often gives an incomplete result. Treating all three at full dose risks overcorrection. So we first identify which layer is your main issue, then decide where and in what order to work.
Concern 1: My contours are descending, but I do not want to look "done"
What we assess: whether support points have shifted back, the degree of ligament laxity, and how the contour differs at rest versus in motion.
Possible directions:
- HarmonyCa — immediate lift with ongoing collagen stimulation, for areas needing both structure and skin quality
- New Doublo HIFU — non-invasive lifting at the SMAS layer, addressing laxity itself
- Oligio X — monopolar radiofrequency heating the dermis for firmness and elasticity
The restrained approach: we prefer to stage lifting treatments and review. Tissue response takes time; filling the whole plan into one session removes room to adjust.
Concern 2: Rough texture, enlarged pores, acne scars, fine lines
What we assess: scar depth and type, skin thickness and healing capacity, and whether sensitivity or redness is also present.
Possible directions:
- Juvelook — PDLLA with non-cross-linked HA in a micro-molecule collagen technology, for pores, acne scars and stretch marks
- Exosome therapy — growth factors that support repair and relieve dryness and redness
- Hestia Fractional CO2 laser — reaching deeper layers to rebuild collagen, for wrinkles, pigmentation and atrophic scars
- Blanc B — patented peptide technology addressing melanin transfer and photo-ageing
The restrained approach: skin-quality treatments usually run as a course. We set one assessable stage first, then decide whether more is warranted.
Concern 3: Volume loss and hollowing, wanting to rebuild gradually
What we assess: which layer needs volume, the product's lifting capacity and duration, and your metabolism and lifestyle.
Possible directions:
- AestheFill — a self-collagen stimulator using porous microsphere technology, lasting 18 to 24 months
- Ellanse — PCL and CMC for immediate fill plus long-term collagen stimulation, in four formulations (S, M, L, E)
- Gouri — a fully liquid PCL stimulator spread through a few points for natural diffusion
The restrained approach: these products work slowly by design. We typically start with a conservative dose and let your own collagen form, then review — because tissue you grow yourself tends to look the most natural.
Assessment first, treatment second
The categories above are a framework for understanding, not a prescription. Your plan depends on an in-person assessment, may span two or three categories, and is often phased. All treatments use authentic, traceable products you can verify beforehand.
FAQ
Q: Can I just do one treatment?
Usually yes. Whether combining makes sense depends on whether your concerns sit in more than one layer. The doctor will explain the difference and you decide.
Q: How long do results last?
It depends on the product and the individual — from around a year to more than two years. Collagen stimulators show their effect progressively rather than immediately.
Q: Will I look stiff or unnatural?
Our aim is natural extension, not tightness. Controlling dose, choosing the right layer, and staging treatment are the main ways we reduce that risk. Downtime and possible reactions are explained in full beforehand.
Q: Do I have to decide at the consultation?
No. You are welcome to take the plan away, think it through, and book later.
Results vary between individuals. All treatments require a prior medical assessment.
